AUGUST 16, 2022
The 2022-23 school year is right around the corner and every student is searching for outfit inspo so they can show up on the first day best dressed. In this style guide post, I'm including everything you'll need to dress comfortable and look cute in class, from sweaters to last minute messy buns.

Sweaters
There's nothing else besides warm sweaters in the fall and winter that screams school prepared. Opt for colors such as white, black, navy blue, cream, and grey. Textured sweaters or ones with ribbing on the sleeves and hem are ultra chic. Wool and cashmere sweaters are cute but be careful of piling!
Tops & Camis
When you're out of ideas of what to wear, throw on a simple long sleeve or tank top. To making these pieces pop, it all comes down to layering and wearing the right accessories. Whether that is wearing a long white tank top under a long sleeve or wearing a cardigan/button up over a cami (first 2 photos).
Bottoms
DENIM DENIM DENIM! Jeans go with practically any outfit. Straight leg jeans, low rise, boyfriend jeans, flared jeans, etc. Blue and black are the go-to's, but if you're looking to try something different, pinstripe or corduroy jeans and are also v cute. On a lazy day, loose yoga pants or drawstring linen pants are perfect.
Shoes
Below I've included photos linked to my fav sneakers and ones on my wishlist! I usually alternate between just a few pairs of shoes during the school year, so I like to buy black or white shoes since they match with everything!
Accessories
It's crucial for every girl to have a signature jewelry piece, whether it's a cute charm bracelet or a cherished necklace. Having an accessory that you wear every day gives you something unique to be known by. While you may have a similar outfit to someone else, no one will be wearing the same necklace your grandma gave you, right? Watches can instantly add class to an outfit, my favorite are square watches.
Phone cases can help you stand out from your peers. Instead of choosing a clear, black, or white case; try an orange, red, or green case! You can also personalize them by ordering one with your initials on the back in gold.

Fragrance, Beauty, Nails, & Hair
A signature fragrance is key to encapsulate yourself. While I do love Victoria's Secret and BBW scents, they tend to be on the stronger and sweeter side which isn't the most ideal for school. Instead, try a floral or fresh scented eau de toilette. The one I currently use is "Amazing Grace" by Philosophy.
I think we can all agree that the 3 makeup products we can't live without are mascara, blush, and some type of lip product. I love a natural makeup look that enhances my features. If you have redness or a few blemishes, tinted moisturizers are great and most of them have spf which is a huge plus.
Tips:
— Waterproof mascara keeps your eyelashes curled ALL DAY -- Use primer before any base makeup for a smoother application -- Spray perfume on your clothes |
My Beauty Favs |
Keeping your nails neat is crucial to looking put together. If you're not a fan of doing your own nails, trim them down or let them grow out and file them a bit for a natural French tip (almond shape is my go-to). I love sheer pink or french tip nails since they're so classic. Try wearing a brighter nail color during the first week of school, I tried it last year and received many compliments!
For hair, you can opt to keep it down with some waviness or curls. Side bangs also look great on pretty much everybody. And you can never go wrong with a simple updo, whether that's using a claw clip or tying a simple messy bun on your way out of the door.
